“Shhh…” Livvy, Dakota Trace’s ornery muse, placed her finger against her lips as they approaced the door of the well-lit taver. “There’s a down right owly Scotsman behind these doors.”

Colleen, the heroine of the Wolfen Bonds, cocked her head. “Really? I wouldn’t call Randall owly. Quiet at times, but never rude. Which is why I’m surprised that he came out to the pub. He’s usually more content to relax in the great library studying his scrolls than coming out to have a few with the boys.”

Livvy straightened. “I’m not talking about Gretchen’s wee brother. I’m talking about Shay’s muse, Lucien. He’s the devil in disguise I tell you. You don’t act like he thinks you ought and you’ll find yourself in his kitchen washing dishes forever and a day. No matter how innocent you might be of said crime.”

Colleen sighed. “Do you honestly think I’m going to buy that load of bullshit? You’re about as innocent as a whore in church on Sundays.”

Livvy seemed taken aback for a second before she laughed outright. “I always did say you were a smart lass. A bit stubborn, but smart nonetheless.” Taking a deep breath, Livvy shoved open the doors. “Enter at your own risk.”

Colleen followed her into the pub, her eyes scanning the surroundings. The crowded dance floor and full bar obscured her view and the muse disappeared into the crush. She sighed. She usually stayed away from places like this, but if tracking Randall down to the bar would help her locate her missing torque — so be it.

“Ye look to be lost, lass.” The husky timber teased her ear as a man clad in shadows spoke from behind her.

“Not lost.” She said as she turned to face the man. She was barely able to make out broad shoulders, a whiskered jaw and the most beautiful kilt she’d seen. “I’m looking for a member of my — err family.” She winced. Andy and Matthias would never forgive her if she spilled their most treasured secret–the very existence of shapeshifters.

“Ye mean yer pack? Relax, I’m Lucien. Yer secret is safe with me.” He held out his arm. “Come with me. I’ll take ye to the young man.”

“You’re Shay’s muse?” Relief coursed through her. As a muse, the man never spoke of secrets to anyone other than his author.

“That I am. Or her pain in the arse–depending on the day and her mood.”

Colleen took his arm. “Now you sound like Livvy–”

He came to a grinding halt, jerking her to a stop. “Ye let that woman into my tavern?”

“Ah…she brought me. Something about Shay agreeing to host for the tour. She even invited my pack member.”

A scrowl crossed his face. “I knew there was a reason that wench asked me to throw a pre-Halloween party. SHe wanted to sneak that muse back into my domain– after I said never again. Dakota Trace’s muse is a menace.”

“As I’m finding out.” Colleen winced. “Honestly, if I weren’t looking for my missing torque I wouldn’t be–”

He patted her hand. “Tis not yer fault. I lay the blame at mo drùiseil sgrìobhadair  and Dakota’s feet. Let’s find yer kinsman and see if he has yer torque. I will deal with Dakota and Shay later.”

Letting Lucien guide her through the crowd, Colleen soon found herself standing at the bar while a beautiful barmaid, who introduced herself  as Seraphina, poured her a stout of ale. Lucien left her in the woman’s capable hands to go and find Randall and Livvy.

“So you’re another one of Dakota’s characters?” Seraphina continued to wipe down the bar.

“Yeah.” SHe continued to scan the crowd as she sipped her drink.

“So are you into being tied up or beating your lovers?”

Colleen turned red and nearly choked on the sip she’d just taken. “Excuse me?”

Seraphina shrugged. “Well, Ms. Dakota is known for writing BDSM. So I thought…”

“That I’m either a Domme or a sub.” She relaxed against the bar. “Sorry to burst your bubble, but I’m just part of Livvy’s idea of fun. Let’s throw a gay shifter couple together with an unknown female and watch the sparks fly. Hey, we can even make sure they partially bonded so they have to stay together.”

“Ouch. That sounds like something Livvy would do.” Seraphina paused as Livvy appeared, flush-cheeked with Randall at her side. Gretchen’s brother was nearly as red as the muse. Obviously, they’d been cutting a mean rug on the floor.

“And speak of the devil. Lucien is looking for you Livvy. Something about helping him clean up tonight in repayment for your author’s audacity.” Seraphina gave Livvy a pointed look.

Livvy’s eyes widened. “Ah, hell no. I don’t care how pissed slave gets with me. I’m outta here.” Then she disappeared.

Colleen sighed. “Well that’s just wonderful.”

“But expected. That chit never takes her job seriously.” Seraphina set down her towel. “So this blog tour. What do the readers need to do for the grand prize drawing?”

“Grab Randall’s name of his graphic here, post it with the site you got the name from in the form below. Then Dakota will draw a winner at the Wrap Up Party on the 25th.”

“Sounds simple enough.” Randall interrupted. “But what does it have to do with me? Livvy said you were looking for me.”

Colleen nodded. “Yeah. Your sister gave you my dinner tray last night and we think my torque might have been on it. Did you happen to see it?”

“Sure did. In fact, I was going to bring it back up myself, but Horace needed me. So I gave it to Aine to take back upstairs to you.”

“Wonderful.” She muttered. “Back to square one. I guess I’m headed back to the Keep to track down the imp.”

“Looks like my plan worked. Just the mention of work has that damned muse fleeing.” Lucien rejoined them with a smug look on his face.

“That was planned?”

“Yep. But before ye take off to…”

Sexy Erotic Exciting Reviews…” Colleen supplied.

“What was the daily prize? Lucien leaned against the bar.

“Another wonderful key chain with a copy of my torque on it.”

“Alright then. Readers, ye know what to do. Make sure ye leave yer name and email addy in the comments and Miss Dakota will pick a winner tomorrow.” He lifted Colleen’s hand to his lips, brishing a kiss across it. “I do hope ye find yer torque.”

“Me too.” She sighed, then pushed her way back through the crowd.

Blurb:

The Council of Elders has charged Matthias Galloway with bringing the once prosperous Taghte Pack back into the Council’s fold. In exchange for his services, Matthias names his terms: he wants to claim his longtime lover and friend, Andrew, as his mate.

Nephew of a powerful alpha, Andrew Gilchrist has long been a coveted commodity because of his services as a healer. Neither expects the Council to agree to Mathias’s terms, leaving him free, finally, to claim his chosen mate. Even more unexpected is the presence of a third-bond to appear during their mating ritual.

The grandchildren of the slain alpha of the Taghte pack, Colleen Donghall and her twin brother, were whisked away at birth. They’re still kept hidden from those who would harm them. Raised in seclusion, Colleen’s never experienced lust, let alone the bond between mates. On the night of lunar eclipse, she’s drawn into Matthias and Andrew’s passionate claiming, and her dormant libido is powerfully awoken.

But it’s nothing compared to the lust and danger that will stalk her and her mates, when she arrives in Scotland.
